Marybeth was here for 10 days and I think had a restful and refreshing time. There was not much fellowship because she was exhausted and her mind was a bit confused but I was able to serve her, prepare dinners and provide a restful atmosphere for her recovery.
She brought her painting supplies with her and finished several water colours during her time here--gave me one as a hostess gift and it is hanging on my livingroom wall. She also took advantage my library to do some reading, a luxury she has not had much time for in Kakamega. She also prepared a lentil & brown rice dish one night. To tell the truth, I was kind of dreading it because it sounded bland and reminded me of meals with hippie-type friends back in the 70’s. But, I was pleasently surprised--- it was very tasty. 😊 I asked for the recipe and will be making it again.
