Almost 2 weeks with Richard & Valerie things, and things were very different again.  Their home is busy much of the time.  Visitors coming and going, cooking for the visitors and the foreign students that they house, back and forth for various meetings and appointments—sort of like a train station 😊   Richard was recovering from surgery (shoulder replacement) and was not supposed to be doing anything physical but he is not very good at sitting still. 

One day Val and I went with Peggy and Donna for a day trip to a very elegant tea house.  It was a long drive and as we started out, and Donna asked me how I got into missions.  She said she just couldn’t understand why anyone would choose that life.  I found myself going back to primary school and the beginning of God’s call on my life and relating all the different steps and stages He brought to mind.   It was a wonderful reminder to me of God’s love and faithfulness!
