Thanks to our connection to the Korean community through our Tana Delta people, Willem and MeeeHyae we have just received information about a new mandatory government registration process. “National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) programme, code-named Huduma Namba.   NIIMS is a national programme for registration of all Kenyan citizens and foreign nationals in the country. NIIMS will establish central master population register, that will be the authentic ‘single source of truth’ on a person’s identity”

Apparently, every human over 5 years old will have to go stand in the queue with their documents and fill out forms with as yet to be disclosed information.   The registration process last May in Nairobi was on a national level for all expatriates; while this NIIMS will be county by county. The official information gives a time frame of 2 months—October and November for completion of this registration and says there will be many locations for processing. Time will tell.
