My brother Dan has been writing to me about the humming bird feeders outside his family room window.   I don’t have much to say about birds here.  There are about 40-60 crows (purposely imported from India—I kid you not!) that nest in the 21 coconut palms and 3 Casuarina trees in my yard and they do not really tolerate other birds in their space.  The pairs of Ibis that come to hunt for grubs in the grass are much bigger and so are left alone but the sparrows and tiny grey and turquoise birds have to hide in the bougainvillea where the crows can’t get to them.
