I am so sorry I will not be back in Seattle in time for the Women of Westside retreat, but I just cannot miss the National Leadership Team meeting in mid-June.
Several people in the greater Seattle area have responded to the Facebook posting and offered accommodation for varying lengths of time so where I will be staying and when is not yet fixed. This furlough is going to be very different in that, in the past I always stayed primarily in one home, trying to meet with friends for lunch or coffee and with an occasional overnight or weekend elsewhere. This time it seems God wants me staying in the homes of various friends and family for shorter periods of time and the purpose seems to be for me to take the opportunity to strengthen the relationships that He has given me, rather than staying solely with family and struggling to connect with others. My prayer and my desire is that this time I will be able to deepen relationships significantly. It does seem that each time I take furlough it is harder to connect with people than it was the time before. I am not sure about all the reasons for this, but I do not think it is my imagination.
Life with God is an adventure isn’t it?
