Communication has been a challenge, some of the places I have been staying either do not have Wi-Fi; or their Wi-Fi wouldn’t acknowledge my laptop; or my server wouldn’t accept my password from their computer….so my text and e-mail has been sporadic, to say the least.

I have been here in Sandpoint, Idaho for 2 great weeks with Kathy, one of my closest friends, and we have been having a great time.  DeLoa, another long-time friend, joined us for a week but she left on Tuesday and we are sort of back on our “schedule” now.  We have also been listening to teaching tapes and having morning coffee and prayer together and that is refreshing both of us.

We did a lot of physical activity every day; water aerobics, bicycling and spin class—I drew the line at joining her boxing class.  We had devotions together in the mornings on the deck in her back yard and she also shared with me several different CD/DVD teaching series; which I got so much from that I ordered sets for myself and subsequently shared with others.  I was able to go to church with her twice and the pastor asked me to preach on the second Sunday. That was the week that another friend drove up from Oregon to be with us.  The 3 of us have been friends since the 1970’s so it was a special time.  I also spent several days with  my sister and  was encouraged to see her growing spiritually.   I attended church  two Sundays with 2 of my brothers and stayed a few days with them.  They have grown closer to each other and the Lord since my sister-in-law’s death 2 years ago.
