I just got informed by ODC, the computer tech support office, that the refurbished Lenovo motherboard will cost $260 and take another 3-4weeks. A new computer will cost $380 and could be available in 24 hours.  I think I will follow my friend Kathy’s advice and buy the new one.  Laptops here in the tropics don’t last much beyond 3 years and putting a new motherboard on a 2-year-old laptop doesn’t seem the best choice.    I will go into town tomorrow morning and get things moving.
