Ang’ullo was worried about the sore on my foot and sent me into town to a government foot doctor. I was a bit confused when I arrived in his office as there were lots of posters on the walls about the stages of pregnancy. Not so much a foot specialist after all. He looked at my foot, went online in his computer and ended up covering the painful area with a corn plaster; which in 2 days did take care of the painful area, unfortunately, the corn plaster was larger than the “corn” area and it burned away a large circle of healthy tissue. So, several more days of sitting with my foot elevated.
Last week on my way to work via pikipiki, we passed a dog lying in the dirt road just by the tarmac road near my house, it was just skin and bones and covered with ticks. John, my pikipiki driver told me that his owner moved to Nairobi several months ago and just left him behind. How can people be so cruel!! I immediately called Fred and told him to go out to the junction and bring the dog to my house. I took him to the vet the following morning and since then have been feeding him 4-5 Times a day but he has had trouble keeping food down. I named him Sandy.
